Delete your HomeBrainz Hub account

How account deletion works

HomeBrainz Hub account deletion can be initiated directly in the app. Your account is disabled immediately and final data removal is completed automatically after the grace period.

How to request deletion

To start deleting your HomeBrainz Hub account, use the in-app deletion flow:

• Open HomeBrainz Hub and go to Profile → Edit Profile → Delete account.
• Confirm the deletion request in the app. You will be signed out immediately.
• Homes you own are transferred to another member when possible. If no transfer target exists, the owned home and its related devices and integrations are deleted.
• Final data removal is completed automatically after the grace period. No support email is required to initiate deletion.

Can this be done in the app?

Yes. Account deletion is initiated directly inside the HomeBrainz Hub app.

What data is deleted

After the grace period ends, we delete your account data from our active systems, including:

• Your HomeBrainz Hub account profile and sign-in identifiers.
• App settings and preferences linked to your account.
• Device associations and cloud-side account links connected to your account.
• Push notification tokens and similar app identifiers associated with your account.

What data may be retained

We retain only the minimum data necessary when retention is required for security or legal reasons:

• A minimal record of your deletion request and related support communication may be retained for up to 90 days to confirm completion, prevent abuse, and handle follow-up questions.
• Security logs and any records we are legally required to keep may be retained for the period required by applicable law or as reasonably necessary to protect against fraud, abuse, or legal claims.
